Healthy Recipes #2: Whey Protein Pancakes

These are amazing if made right and also incredibly healthy:

ingredients:

1 banana

1-2 eggs

cinnamon

1 scoop vanilla whey protein (preferably warrior milk not neccesary though- also experimenting with other flavors would probably be good too)

1 tablespoon coconut oil

2 handful of coconut(2 your liking)

unsweetened baking cocoa (or straight chocolate works to slightly less healthy, but hey were not perfect)

agave

vanilla extract (vanilla beans good to)

almond shavings

Directions:

put 1-2 scoops of whey protein in bowl

add eggs

then mash banana and whey protein and eggs together (use masher stick as I call it- also known as a pestle)

then add coconut and mix together scraping off sides as you go

add 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil

add pinch of cinnamon

add 1 teaspoon agave

add 2 capfulls of vanilla extract

put pan on the stove

put 1/2 tablspoon of coconut oil in pan and heat

then pour batter into pan keepin in circular pancake shape

sprinkle chocolate flakes on top

Cook like a regular pancake( I’m assuming you don’t need these instructions if you do comment or preferably make use of google)

put agave syrup, jam, maple syrup, or any of your favorite pancake toppings on top and consume

Sorry, but I don’t have any pictures right now so instead imagine a really delicious looking pancake…

YUM

Also if you cover bread in the batter made in this recipe you have FRENCH TOAST. It’s reallly good I’d reccomend go very heavy on the cinnamon if you choose to make that, and kind of glaze the outsides with agave while cooking.

  1. A little almond butter would provide some nice crunchy texture, and some more healthy fat. What do you think, brownbagger?
